  • Ideation Homework

Come up with a design for your ‘hero asset,’ the main project you’ll be working on during this course. This can involve whatever kind of ideation you choose, including but not limited to sketching, descriptive writing, creating specifications, and gathering reference.

Ivan personally does most of his visual ideation in Fusion while modeling, creating no sketches before beginning. (The blueprint-style sketches you saw earlier in the lesson were created at the end of the course, to make it easier to understand his project.)

Whatever type of ideation you’re most comfortable with is what you should choose to work with. Especially if you aren’t experienced in Fusion yet, you may find sketching in 2D beneficial, to organize your thoughts.
